Alocasia frydek are native to the tropical rainforests of the Philippines where they grow in warm, humid conditions. Outside of the Philippines, the plant is usually grown indoors as a houseplant because of its temperature and humidity requirements. It does best in warm temperatures with higher humidity such as kitchens and bathrooms.
